Are you a high-achieving woman who seems to have it all together on the outside but is crumbling from the pressure on the inside? Are you struggling to find work-life balance and personal fulfillment?

If your life has begun to feel performative, leaving you feeling burned out, disconnected, and inadequate, know that you are not alone

Women today wear so many hats and juggle endless responsibilities. Meeting the many demands of your time can feel impossible. You may even notice you neglect and criticize yourself rather than celebrate your achievements or milestones.

Many high-achieving women have found themselves on the wrong path because they wanted to please others. You may feel lost in the maze, pretending to be someone you’re not, hoping to be accepted or liked. But ultimately, you’re suffering in silence.

Some women are facing challenges of modern society, such as patriarchy, sexism, racism, economic inequality, feminism, access to equal opportunity, navigating career and motherhood, and others. Many struggle with imposter syndrome.

Many others navigate health issues, such as infertility, sexually transmitted infections, pain, diabetes, overweight and obesity, heart disease, and cancer, while other women are dealing with unresolved childhood problems and trauma.

Now more than ever, women need the support of women!

Whether you’re married, partnered, single, child-free by choice, or have children, it’s challenging to prioritize your needs and admit when you need help.

You may feel guilty when you take a moment to yourself, but you also resent your partners, considering the strain you’re under.

Many of our patients are also navigating family conflicts due to differences in beliefs and values. Older generations are trying to understand the audacity of the younger generations; younger generations are trying to stay connected to their culture and family while asserting their identity and independence

Maintaining genuine connections and relationships might sometimes seem challenging, leaving you feeling disconnected and uncertain. It can be difficult to reconcile the gap between who you present to the world and who you are behind closed doors.

Whether you’re seeking therapy for anxiety, therapy for self-esteem, or therapy for trauma or women’s issues, we are here to partner with you so you can grow.

Our primary focus is on empowering you and creating a safe space so you can move forward with a strong sense of agency and purpose

You are enough. But all too often, society, social media, family, or past experiences tell you that you are not.

In online therapy, you can cultivate self-love, define your values, and commit to living them!

Our highly trained clinicians provide a safe space for you to examine any learned behaviors that no longer serve you so you can shed who you were and become who you were meant to be.

Therapies we use (individual and group therapy):

At Avatar Cognitive and Behavioral Center, we use Cognitive, Behavioral, and Humanistic evidence-based therapies to create a you-centered, safe space.

  • For far too long, you may have been trying to avoid or control “negative” emotions like anger, sadness, or fear. With ACT, you’ll learn to accept whatever comes up for you so that those big, overwhelming emotions lose their power. If you’re ready to face your pain, define your values, and commit to living them, ACT can help.

  • CBT helps you unveil the links between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It encourages curiosity and helps you replace unhelpful thoughts with healthier ones. You will learn the skills to recognize your patterns, and hence, with time… you can become your own therapist!

  • With CPT, we’ll examine all the thoughts or stuck points you have surrounding your traumatic experience(s). You don’t have to be stuck in thought loops or behavioral patterns forever. We’ll explore new ways to think about self-esteem, power, control, safety, trust, and intimacy so that you can experience freedom from your past and anticipate a bright future.

  • You’ve probably heard of mindfulness—and together, we’ll explore its benefits. You may find that when you pay close attention, live on purpose, and release judgment; you experience a profound transformation. Improving patience, trust, love, kindness, and compassion for self and others are some of the benefits of this practice. We will also teach you stress reduction techniques to help you breathe through life’s chaotic moments.

  • Sometimes people shy away from therapy because they believe it’s too focused on problems. SFT uses a solution-building approach so that we can get you excited and dreaming about your future. You’ll be challenged to consider how you can strengthen and expand your current skill set. We’ll evaluate how you approach and resolve conflicts and turn to potential solutions. If your current coping strategies aren’t working, we’ll work together to develop more effective ones to bring you closer to living the life you desire.

  • You may intuitively avoid thoughts, feelings, and reminders as your main way of coping with trauma. Although avoidance may help you feel better in the moment, it is not efficient in the long term. Avoidance can make it harder to move on with your life. With PE, we’ll gradually face trauma memories so that you feel more in control of life and are more emotionally present with your loved ones.

  • DBT teaches essential skills such as distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. You will learn to make informed decisions, reduce your emotional distress, and respond to situations more effectively. You’ll find that DBT promotes emotional stability, improved relationships, and a greater sense of overall well-being.
