Dr. Yasmin Arias

Licensed clinical psychologist providing online Neuropsychological and Psychological Evaluations in Florida for ADHD, autism, anxiety, trauma, OCD, and depression in both English and Spanish

Hi, I’m Dr. Yasmin Arias!

I’m a bilingual clinical psychologist in Florida specializing in Neuropsychological and Psychological Evaluations. I provide strengths-based evaluations that help you better understand yourself and how you navigate the world around you.

My approach is collaborative and affirming, so that you feel understood rather than reduced to a label or diagnosis. Whether you’re seeking clarity around ADHD, autism, anxiety, trauma, OCD, learning differences, or emotional concerns, my goal is to create an experience that feels supportive and helpful to your daily life.

I’m a neurodiversity and LGBTQ+ affirming clinician and offer evaluations and therapy in both English and Spanish. As a first-generation and bicultural psychologist, I also understand the importance of honoring cultural identity, lived experience, home language, and family dynamics within the evaluation process.

My goal is to create an experience that feels supportive and helpful to your daily life.

Every part of your unique identity and wisdom is welcome here.

Clarity changes the way you relate to yourself.

Healing comes when we experience safety, connection, and insight.

Neuropsychological and Psychological Evaluations are not about “finding what’s wrong” with you. They’re about gaining a deeper understanding of how your mind works, what patterns may be impacting your daily life, and what strengths and supports can help you move forward.

Many people seek evaluations because they’ve spent years feeling misunderstood, overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure why certain things feel harder than they seem for others. An evaluation can provide language, clarity, validation, and direction.

My role is to guide you through that process with compassion and respect for your full experience.

Insight matters most when it leads to change

I offer trauma-informed neuropsychological evaluations in English and Spanish for:

Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)

Difficulties with attention, organization, emotional regulation, motivation, or follow-through can affect your career, relationships, and self-esteem. Evaluations help clarify patterns and identify practical supports that fit how your brain naturally works.

Autism spectrum disorder (ASD)

Many adults seek autism evaluations later in life after years of masking, feeling different, or struggling to understand themselves socially or emotionally. I provide neurodiversity-affirming and culturally attuned evaluations that honor individuality rather than pathologize it.

Anxiety, OCD, and trauma-related concerns

Anxiety, obsessive thinking, emotional overwhelm, and trauma responses can affect so much of your daily life. Assessment can help differentiate patterns, clarify diagnoses, and guide effective treatment recommendations.

Depression and mood concerns

Depression does not always look the same for everyone. Evaluations can help identify emotional, cognitive, and behavioral patterns while also exploring the broader context impacting your mental health.

Diagnostic Clarification

If you know that something is off, but aren’t sure why, psychological and neuropsychological evaluations can help provide insight and a more complete understanding of overlapping concerns.

Step into more confidence and a deeper understanding of yourself

List of therapies I offer:

  • Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)

  • LGBTQ+ affirming therapy

  • Mindfulness-based approaches

  • Strengths-based care

  • Trauma-informed therapy

  • Neurodiversity-affirming therapy

What is it like to work with me?

My clients often describe me as easy to talk to. I value open and honest conversations, and I aim to create a space where you feel safe asking questions, exploring concerns, and being fully yourself.

I approach this work from a strengths-based perspective, so we’ll work together to identify and connect with your inner wisdom and strengths to help guide therapy and neuropsychological evaluations.

I combine evidence-based practices with mindfulness, curiosity, and genuine love for helping individuals better understand themselves. While evaluations are structured and clinically grounded, I also believe the process should feel intentional, respectful, and supportive instead of generic or intimidating.

Care that leaves you feeling more understood, informed, and confident

You deserve support that sees the whole you

Neuropsychological and psychological assessments can help you better understand your internal world and experiences, recognize your strengths, and identify tools that support your well-being moving forward.

If you’re seeking answers for yourself, I’d love to connect!

Move toward greater clarity and self-understanding

Want to learn more about me?

The person….

To tell my story, I need to start with my parents, because their resilience and sacrifices shaped so much of who I am today.

My father is Cuban and worked on a merchant ship before I was born. During a stop in Japan, he made the risky decision to leave the vessel and seek asylum at the U.S. embassy. About a year later, he was granted entry into the United States.

My mother was born in Ecuador and raised alongside twelve siblings. She became the first in her family to graduate from high school, despite not having family support for her education at the time. Her determination eventually brought her to the United States, where she later met my father.

Growing up, I was surrounded by unconditional support and the belief that people can keep moving forward even through difficult circumstances. Those experiences continue to shape both who I am personally and how I approach my work as a psychologist.

I was born and raised in Miami Beach, Florida, and I’ve always been drawn to travel, culture, and experiences that broaden my perspective. I love learning about people and the many different ways we experience the world, and traveling has deepened my appreciation for connection across cultures and backgrounds.

I became a psychologist through a long-standing curiosity about people and the emotional experiences that shape how we move through the world. I’ve always been drawn to listening closely to others’ stories, understanding patterns beneath the surface, and helping people make sense of experiences that may feel confusing or difficult to put into words.

As my training evolved, I found myself especially passionate about neuropsychological and psychological assessments and the clarity it can offer individuals who may have spent years trying to understand themselves. I was drawn to the way evaluations can provide not only answers, but also validation and a deeper sense of self-understanding.

Throughout my career, I’ve worked across a variety of clinical settings, including outpatient, inpatient, hospital, university, community mental health, and private practice environments. These experiences strengthened my commitment to providing care that is collaborative and culturally responsive

At the core of my work is the belief that people are not defined by their struggles, diagnoses, or hardest moments of their lives. I believe individuals already carry many of the strengths and capacities they need for growth, even when those strengths feel difficult to access. My role is to help create a space where people feel understood, supported, and better able to move through life with more self-trust.
