Dr. Paula Negron
Licensed clinical psychologist providing Neurodiversity-Affirming Therapy for trauma, anxiety, ADHD, autism, and chronic health conditions in both English and Spanish in Florida
Hi, I’m Dr. Paula Negron!
I’m a bilingual clinical psychologist offering Neurodiversity-Affirming Therapy in Florida. I work with individuals navigating anxiety, trauma, identity exploration, neurodivergence, LGBTQ+ concerns, chronic health conditions, and life transitions.
I provide a space where you can focus on yourself and explore your experiences without pressure to simplify them or rush toward answers. Together, we’ll make sense of patterns in your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and behaviors, and begin to translate that understanding into real-life change.
Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or in a period of transition, you don’t have to move through it alone. Here you have a place to reflect and move towards your goals at a pace that feels right for you.
You’re allowed to explore who you are without needing to have it all figured out
The more you understand yourself, the more intentional your choices become
Therapy isn’t just about insight; it’s about what you do with it.
I’ll support you in building a deeper awareness of your internal world while also helping you develop practical ways to navigate your daily life. This might include trying new coping and communication strategies, restructuring routines, or experimenting with new ways of responding to challenges.
Over time, many patients begin to notice:
● A clearer sense of who they are and what they want in life
● Greater emotional awareness and regulation
● Improved communication and boundaries
● More flexibility in how they think and respond
● Stronger alignment with their values and decisions
This isn’t about becoming someone new. It’s about getting to know yourself and making choices that feel right for you.
Insight matters most when it leads to change
I offer trauma-informed and Neurodiversity-Affirming Therapy in English and Spanish for:
Anxiety and emotional dysregulation
Anxiety can feel like your mind and body are constantly “on.” Together, we work to understand what’s driving that activation and build tools to help you feel more grounded and regulated.
Chronic health conditions
Living with chronic illness or health concerns can affect every part of life. I help clients navigate the emotional, relational, and practical layers of these experiences, including developing agency and self- advocacy within healthcare systems.
Identity exploration and life transitions
Periods of change often bring uncertainty, especially when old roles or ways of being no longer fit. Therapy can help you explore who you are in these in-between spaces and move forward with more clarity and intention.
Neurodivergence (ADHD, autism)
I provide neurodiversity-affirming care that recognizes differences in thinking, processing, and interacting with the world. We focus on building systems, tools, and self-understanding that support and honor how your mind naturally works.
Trauma and trauma-related responses
Trauma can shape how you experience safety, connection, and yourself. Our work focuses on understanding these patterns, processing emotional experiences, and helping you build a greater sense of stability and internal safety.
Come as you are and move toward the life you want
List of therapies I offer:
Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT)
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)
Somatic and mindfulness-based approaches
Psychodynamic therapy
What is it like to work with me?
I approach therapy with curiosity and respect for complexity. You won’t be rushed to find quick answers, minimize your experiences, or shrink yourself here. Instead, we take the time to understand what’s happening internally, while also identifying ways to create meaningful change in your day-to-day life.
I’ll meet you with openness and care, while also helping you notice patterns and gently challenge what may no longer be serving you.
Our work stays grounded in your real, day-to-day life. That means we focus not only on insight, but also on how to apply it, through skill-building, experimentation, and small, intentional shifts. The goal is for you to feel both understood and capable of navigating your life with more confidence, clarity, and flexibility.
Move toward a life that feels more aligned with who you are
You don’t have to have it all figured out to begin
Therapy can be a place to better understand yourself and build the tools to move through life with more confidence and intention
If you’re looking for LGBTQ+ or Neurodiversity-Affirming Therapy, I’m here to support you

Want to learn more about me?
The person….
I’ve always been drawn to understanding people not only in how they behave, but in how they experience themselves internally and how they share that experience. My passion for music, art, and creation naturally led me toward the exploration of meaning-making through the study of psychology and continues to shape how I connect with others today.
My personal and professional experiences have deepened my appreciation for how complex and layered human experiences can be, especially when navigating identity, health, and life transitions. These experiences have reinforced my commitment to creating spaces where individuals feel seen, understood, and able to explore themselves without pressure to fit into a box or simplified narratives.
At my core, I value reflection, authenticity, and the process of making meaning both in my own life and in the work I do with others.
The professional….
My path into psychology was guided by a strong interest in understanding human behavior, emotional experience, and the deeper patterns that shape how we relate to ourselves and others.
Throughout my training, I developed experience working with diverse populations facing a wide variety of concerns, which strengthened my commitment to an integrative and flexible approach to therapy. Over time, I’ve become passionate about the intersection of emotional health, identity, and physical health conditions, as well as supporting neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ individuals.
My current work reflects both my training and passions, which bring together depth-oriented exploration with practical, evidence-based strategies. I love supporting individuals on their unique wellness journeys.
