Donna Clark

Mental health therapist and certified rehabilitation counselor providing online Therapy for Women, teens, veterans, trauma, anxiety, and relationships in Florida

Hi, I’m Donna Clark!

I’m a holistic mental health therapist and clinical rehabilitation counselor in Florida, supporting women, teens, and military personnel navigating trauma, anxiety, life transitions, and relationship challenges. My approach integrates psychotherapy with mindfulness, somatic practices, and yoga-informed principles to support meaningful emotional healing and resilience. We’ll collaborate to ensure that therapy aligns with what’s most important to you and helps you reconnect with yourself.

This is a space for you to feel seen, heard, supported as you explore and heal at your pace

Healing is both a science and a sacred return to your wholeness

Throughout our work together, I’ll help you build emotional resilience, strengthen your relationships, and deepen your sense of self-trust. My goal is to help you move from reacting to stressors toward responding with intention. I believe the mind, body, and spirit are deeply connected. Meaningful change happens when we address all parts of the human experience — not just our thoughts, but also the emotions stored in the body and the values that guide our lives.

Healing isn’t about becoming someone new. It’s about reconnecting to yourself, understanding your patterns, regulating your nervous system, and making choices that align with who you truly are and what matters most to you.

Small, meaningful shifts build over time, leading to more balance, presence, self-trust, and confidence

Life rarely moves in straight lines

Periods of stress, transition, or uncertainty can shake our sense of stability and raise questions about who we are. In therapy, you’ll have a welcoming space where you can slow down, make sense of what you’re experiencing, and begin to move forward with greater clarity and resilience.

My work focuses on women’s mental health, military and veteran care, and supporting individuals who are navigating trauma, anxiety, relationship challenges, and big seasons of change. Together, we’ll gently explore and develop tools that help you feel more regulated, connected, and confident in yourself.

Anxiety

Anxiety can make it difficult to slow down or feel fully present. It often shows up as persistent worry, racing thoughts, or physical tension. We’ll work to understand what’s driving those feelings, develop practical ways to manage stress, and help you attune to your body.

Career-related stress and purpose exploration

Whether you’re navigating professional transitions, burnout, or questions about meaning and direction, therapy provides clarity and tools. We explore strategies to align your work with your values, build confidence in decision-making, and manage stress effectively.

Inclusive and affirming care

I provide culturally responsive and affirming support for LGBTQ+ individuals and people of all identities. Here you’ll have a safe space to explore and heal with a mental health therapist who understands the societal factors that impact well-being.

Life transitions

Major life changes, such as career shifts, relocation, military deployments, health challenges, or new stages of life, can bring uncertainty and stress. Therapy offers space to process these changes and reconnect with what matters most to you. I’ll help you build the confidence needed to navigate new chapters with deeper self-trust.

Military and veteran-focused support

I provide trauma-informed care and guidance for current and former service members, veterans, and their families. We address the unique aspects of military life, including transitions, stress, and identity shifts, while building strategies for stability, emotional regulation, and healthy relationships.

Relationship challenges

Relationships can be deeply meaningful, but also complicated. Patterns of communication, past experiences, and unmet needs can leave people feeling disconnected or stuck in repeated conflict. In therapy, we explore these patterns with curiosity rather than judgment. We’ll work on communication, boundaries, and understanding your needs so your relationships can feel more supportive and fulfilling.

Trauma

Trauma can affect how we experience safety, relationships, and even our own bodies. You may feel constantly on edge, numb, or unsure how to trust again. As a trauma-informed therapist and Navy veteran, I approach this work with patience and respect for your pace. Together, we focus on helping your nervous system feel more regulated, understanding how past experiences influence your present, and rebuilding a sense of safety and self-trust.

Women’s mental health

I support women through life’s shifts, identity changes, and mental health challenges with an approach that integrates mind, body, and spirit. Together, we focus on understanding patterns, strengthening resilience, and creating space for self-care and alignment.

When we understand what’s driving our reactions, we gain the freedom to respond in new ways

List of therapies I offer:

  • Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)

  • Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT)

  • Narrative therapy

  • Somatic & mindfulness-based approaches

  • Strengths-based counseling

  • Trauma-informed therapy

What is it like to work with me?

I bring together lived experience, clinical training, and integrative wellness in a way that is both grounded and practical. My approach is supportive and collaborative, so that you can speak openly, slow down, and explore without judgment. Here you’ll have an affirming and inclusive space to focus on you.

I blend warmth and honesty within sessions. Together we’ll look at patterns that may be keeping you stuck and develop practical tools to help you respond to life with more clarity and intention.

Our work together may include exploring thoughts, strengthening emotional regulation, and noticing how stress or past experiences show up in the body. We may also use grounding techniques to help you feel more centered in everyday life.

Want to learn more about me?

The person….

I served 11 years in the U.S. Navy as a Hospital Corpsman. During that time, and after my transition out of the military, I experienced my own journey through PTSD, depression, and chronic stress. Healing did not come from one modality alone — it came through a combination of therapy, mindfulness, movement, holistic practices, and deep self-inquiry.

That journey shaped the way I practice as a mental health therapist today. I don’t believe in surface-level healing. I believe in integration — mind, body, and spirit working together.

The professional….

After my military service, I felt called to help others navigate their own healing and life transitions. I completed my Master of Science in Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling at Thomas University. I earned my Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) credential and pursued advanced clinical training in trauma-informed and mindfulness-based approaches.

My background in healthcare, education, and holistic wellness allows me to support patients from both a clinical and integrative lens.

I became a mental health therapist because I understand what it feels like to rebuild yourself, and I want others to know that healing and alignment are possible.
